• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Temperature Shift

Has anyone noticed how the forum "temperature" shifted in the last 48 hours. For the last few weeks, the temperature has been a bit chilly as many lamented various problems with fires, recalls, cansiters, dealers, service, etc. An announcement about new models and now the "temperature" has warmed again as we are excited about the BRP designs. I like learning about how the Spyder works and doesn't work, but I like the positive feelings generated by news of what appears to be a very big commitment to the Spyder product line. Don't mind me, I'm a BRPjunkie. :D

Interesting observation!

I have observed . . . .

. . . . Spyders are not very patient. Their owners even less so. ( I include myself in that, too. ) We do get a little cranky when tomorrow didn't happen early yesterday. Baja Ron may be the exception to this rule.

Thank heavens we are all (including Ron) clever, intelligent, knowledgeable, considerate, warm & caring, stylish, and politically correct - otherwise we would be insufferable, occasionally, on late Friday afternoons, in months that don't have an "R" in them, in odd numbered years, if it is raining, AND the SpyderLover.com servers are running slow.

It also helps that Magic Man is running his contests again.

oh, one other observation

Jennifer and Dudley took that great trip. Posted a gazillion great pictures. I think that was one of the most popular and most viewed threads ever on the forum. We all read it - every day - and we could only dream of doing the same. Talk about frustration!

And did you notice that the fires stopped once they got home? Or that they were in every state where there was a fire? A coincidence? I will leave that up to you to decide.

I think BRP was smart to delay introducing the new Spyders until they were home.
