• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I bought a Spyder on Feb. 7, 2009, I know the rule is Feb. 17, but I thought I read somewhere they gave you a 10 day back date rule. Is this true, I checked a bunch of IRS sites and saw nothing. Any advise, help. Just want to get what is due to me. Thanks for any ideas or thoughts

Not a tax professional,(my sister is) but I would say if bought in 2009 you would be fine.:dontknow::popcorn:

Taken from the IRS web site:

Q. When can the vehicle be purchased to qualify for this deduction?
A. This deduction applies to vehicles purchased after Feb. 16, 2009 and before Jan. 1, 2010.

When I called concerning my questions, the lady I spoke to asked me specifically if I bought it after between February 17, and December 31. Unfortunately, I think you may be out of luck on this one.

Here is the contact info for the IRS so you can call and verify it for yourself though:

Telephone Assistance for Individuals:
Toll-Free, 1-800-829-1040

Hours of Operation: Monday – Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m. your local time (Alaska & Hawaii follow Pacific Time).

Hope that helps.

Thanks

Thank you for all your replies. I thought I was out of luck. Oh well life goes on. Again, thank you for your help.
