I have begun using tapatalk to view this forum on my android phone as well as one other. Problem is, that there is an email everytime someone posts. Tapatalk server does NOT send the email and the emails come from the forum server. Is there any way to disable this "feature"? TIA

I use Tapatalk almost exclusively for these forums and have never had this happen. I'll double check the settings I use and see if I can offer a suggestion.

Are you using tapatalk login or forum login?

Errrr. I think I am using the forum login. I did some googling and all the gurus claim that TapATalk has no email server ability... so it must be the forum server. I know, I know... gurus hehe I can't find ANY settings on Tapatalk that have anything to do with emailing stuff.

I used to use Tapatalk while going to the st-owners.com forum and had the same thing got about a zillion
emails. I got rid of it and never went back. I have no trouble viewing this or other forums using my iPhone 6+

I use Tapatalk religiously and don't get any emails. I'll sometimes get alerts through Tapatalk if someone posts in a thread I have subscribed to.

I use TT but get emails only for threads I have posted to, or specifically subscribed to. That setting is in your SL settings box, not in any TT settings that I can find.

I had same problems then looked at full page here and under subscriptions you have to turn off per every post, taptalk does not show you thi,s and will auto subscribe to any thread you make a post on:banghead::roflblack: G'luck. I use taptalk mostly for highlights now or if on road and only have my phone. Limited & ez.

Same with my Android tablet. Drives me nuts. No reason to use TapaTalk on a tablet. :sour:

The forum software knows that you are accessing from a mobile devise and makes that "helpful recommendation". Don't know if Lemont would have the availability to turn that off or not. Only way a user can turn it off would be to change the devices browser profile to something other than "mobile", but the file you have to edit is a system file and usually not accessible without rooting (jailbreaking) your device.

I cannot confirm that this will effect TapaTalk, as I don't use it, but if you are correct, there is also a default setting that you can choose for subscriptions under "Settings -> General Settings".
