• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Taking a trip.

I will be leading a group of about six bikes, five Harley's and myself this August. Plan on being on the road for about two weeks. My question to all of you, what type of luggage do you use on your rear seat? I've been looking online and found a few that might work but the back seat is a little smaller than Harley's. I've tried some of my friends luggage but it comes too far forward. I have the Ultimate Reach seat on the:spyder2: so I lost 1.5" of rear seat room. Don't have enough time or money for a trailer before I leave on the trip. So it's has to be some backseat bag of sorts.
Thanks in advance,
Dale.

I'd recommend going to a sporting goods store, like Dick's Sporting Goods, and look in their canoe section for waterproof bags. You should find something there that'll be the right size and keep the contents dry.

Look at the Ski-Doo bags for their sleds (or other brands too)... lots of saddlebag options that are designed to rest over a seat or rear of the tunnel.. would be about the same size.

Thanks for the tips guys. I just got back from my local biker store and picked up a RoadHouse Americana bag. It's made to fit over a sissy bar but works prefect on the back seat with the strap going over my backrest. Clamps down nice and firm. Comes with a rain cover but from the looks of the bag, I don't think anything is going to get wet unless I ride into a lake. On the plus side, I have a roll bag left over from my Harley days that straps down on top like it's made for it.
Got just 'bout everything I need for my two week trip this Aug.
Thanks again, Doc.:ani29:

Just a suggestion for attaching your luggage try using a long strap and running it under the seat. That way you can still lift the seat to fill up without removing or struggling with the bag.

Thanks for the tip but with this big bag on the back seat, there is no way the seat is going to lift up with the bag on. I already checked.
