• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Tail light lenses removal?

We got my wife's 2014 STS about 2 weeks ago/and I noticed what looks like wax/cleaner inside the left tail light lenses. (White)This is also around some of the panel bolts also.
What is the process of removing the tail lightlight lenses?

Some one had said that the seat would have to be removed first.
I was just wondering if maybe someone else has had to remove their taillights and could shed some light on this.
Another question would be how could this have happened? Shouldn't these lights be sealed with a gasket/rubber seal?
Thanks for any knowledge you may have on this subject.

No the seat does not have to be removed. I suggest maybe getting the digital service manual. It's not expensive. The tail light has to be removed to change out the bulb. So there is a procedure with pictures in the service manual.

The basic procedure is to partly remove the side panel. That is done by removing the 2 plastic rivets under the seat. Then remove the tail pan. Held in place by 7 torx screws. Each tail light is held in place by one torx screw.

I hope that helps.

Here is a link to a manual. http://stores.ebay.ca/Midwest-Manua...=20003103&_sid=60680161&_trksid=p4634.c0.m322

Thanks Billy-
That was the info. that I needed.
I finally got my hands on the manual for this Spyder and it pretty much says the same thing.
Thanks again for your help.
