There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Tabs for Jayden

Santa Clause Is Coming to town today! The staff at work yesterday wrapped up gifts for all the boys- I don't know if Santa's bag is big enough to hold them all!

Is Santa coming on a Spyder? I asked Joy if I could get a Santa suit one year. I don't remember what happened after that.

You would make a great Santa. I did it one year for the Girl Scouts Christmas gift sale fundraiser one year. It was one of those "take a photo with Santa" things. Reminded me of when I was in Cub Scouts and my Dad would play Santa every year.

Holy cow....hows that for some perspective.

My wife, Laura, is a lung cancer survivor, and this hits very close to home for us.

Jayden is in our thoughts, and we will be praying for peace and comfort. God Speed, little one.

/bump.

Jayden and Santa.jpg Here is Jayden and Santa and Santa's helper. Jayden's hospice nurse starts tomorrow. I am very blessed to be able to be there when this special man came to spend some time with my special friend. They had a bad scare yesterday on the way back from clinic- Loma Linda is about an hour drive. Mom was just getting on the freeway when Jayden told him that he had blood coming out of his port. Mom pulled over and Jayden is soaked in blood. Mom called 911 and applied pressure until paramedics arrived and took over.

update on Jayden

Jayden's oxygen tank and wheel chair arrived today. We built a gingerbread house and did a hand print craft that has mom's hand and then Jayden's hand on top of it. One of my parents is making mom a special gift with the hand prints.photo-1.jpg

And to think I whine about a little arthritis! :opps: Well, I put up Jayden's photo at work, asking for tabs. Amazing! A picture really is worth a thousand words. Tab collection is moving right along. Merri, thanks for posting the name and mailing address for anyone wanting to donate some funds, just in case I am asked. Wasn't sure what to tell them before.

Keep us posted on how Jayden is doing.
God bless and keep you all,
Kathy

Thank you Kathy. I could not put picture on my post on facebook, as students from our school are on there- and Jayden brothers don't want other students to say anything to them. The boys are having a difficult time. They are so scared and insecure. As any cancer survivor on here knows- when someone in your family has cancer- everyone in your family has cancer. Poor mom, she never has a chance to just break down because someone always needs her. She has to be strong all the time.

Please forgive the venting

As I cannot post this anywhere else without someone from work reading it.... I am SOOOOOOO angry. Our school librarian came up to me and said, I just want to remind you to make sure you pick up Jayden's text books before he dies.... because that should be my number 1 priority! I did not respond to her for at least two minutes because I know I would have been fired. When I did, I just smiled and said for her not to worry I know my priorities. If I forget, you can just put a hold on his report card! Some people! Thanks for letting me vent!

I was going to reply, but then Lamonster would have to ban me. Vent away.

another Jayden

I read this thread at first thinking it was about a little Jayden from Michigan. This little guy passed from cancer on November 27th. He was an amazing little boy and Christmas was his favorite holiday. A Facebook page was started called Keep on Truckin Team Jayden and after he passed posts started appearing about paying it forward Jayden style. There are literally hundreds of people who are doing everything frkm buying strangers coffee to donating toys to paying for Disney trips all in Jaydens honor. These kids go through so much and always seem to teach us so much. It is truly amazing all of the people he has touched and what a difference he has made. I know it brings the family a lot of peace to see it all happen. Hopefully your Jayden will have an equally amazing impact on the world. Thank you for sharing his story. I hope you aren't offended by my post it was just so touching to read about another little guy with the same name and all the similarities I felt compelled to share. If anyone needs a touching moment check out the Facebook page and look at the posts by others it is well worth your time. I am paying it forward jayden style as often as I can and now I will be doing it for 2 Jaydens.

Thank you for sharing Rachel, I will go check out that page ( hope I can handle it) It is so sad to watch these little guys go through so much pain. And thank you for letting me vent, I wanted to say some of the same words Blue Star- It will be hard not to THROW his text books at that woman!

The only word that comes to mind Merri is "unbelievable".

I sure hope that everyone is taking their tabs and putting it in a baggie. Your little baggie may not seem like very much hanging off the side of the refrigerator but it does add up with all the other little baggies out there.

:agree: One of the dock guys handed me a zip lock sandwich baggie about half full today, so tell your friends/co-workers to save them too. I average 15 to 20 tabs a day, and don't even drink canned soda drinks.

Thanks Robert!

woo hoo! We are expecting snow Thursday, If we get it I am taking the day off and Jayden will come up to be in the snow.

Jayden update

Jayden was sitting up reading a book when I got there this afternoon. He said the new pain medication is really helping :) We are really hoping for that snow on Thursday, my boss already said I can have the day off if it does- because at least SHE understands how important that is for him. Thank you everyone for all your support!

yesterday's scare and hope for snow

Yesterday, after school I went to the office and Jayden's two brothers were sitting there. No one had picked them up after school. They both looked scared. My heart stopped! I am not ready for this, I know it will come one day, but I am still not ready.Calmly, I smiled at the boys and asked if I was supposed to take them home (I was doing that on Tuesdays and Thursdays) and called mom's cell phone. Grandpa was supposed to pick them up. I brought them home while mom tried to find out what happened to grandpa- who fell asleep and forgot to go get them.

We are expecting snow tonight. Jayden so desperately wants to make a snowman. I have approval for a personal necessity day and mom and the four boys will be here in the morning to have blueberry waffles, hot chocolate and SNOW. We are only expecting 3- 4 inches, so it will be a small snowman- but if we can make one of his last wishes come true it sure would be nice.

Our parent club has signed up to bring the family dinner every night for at least the next two weeks. I never knew there was a web site to do that! In case you ever need it, http://takethemameal.com/ sets up a schedule where people can sign up to bring food and even WHAT to bring. Nice tool.
