I also find the parking brake alarm annoying - Shame it can't be
Actrivated/Deactivated or Noise level adjusted in the Mode Menu
I have a level drive and when cleaning the Spyder I don't set the Parking
Brake - I use small caravan Wheel chocks under the wheels
I therefore don't need to keep switching on and off the Parking brake to
move the Spyder
It would have been useful if Can-Am had provided a Accessory switch like most motorycles have - That way the Radio could still be on without the
ignition being needed
If you do want to use the Radio once the ignition is on -Should the kill switch be in the off position
I was told many years ago that if the ignition is left on the coils could burn out but if the kill switch is off this should not happen
Perhaps a more qualified person can give us some advice on this.
How do you set up parking lights on the Spyder RT without needing the key to be left in (Security Issue)
They are considering switching off street lights in some towns in the UK
and it may be a safety feature to have parking lights set due to the width of the Front wheels
Drivers may think they are overtaking a motorcyle but clip and damage the front wheels - Parking lights may help to avoid this
Geoff - Perhaps we will have to carry chocks just in case of a parking brake failure - I kown someone who's parking brake needed to be adjusted and until he got to the dealer to sort it out - Use to carry a small piece of wood to put under the wheels as a stop gap measure
