• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Sway Bar for new F3 S - Worth It?

I've seen a number of posts regarding Sway Bar's but I honestly don't know what they do. Could someone educate me on the Pro's andCon's of something like this? I have 2 F3-S Special Series in Triple Black coming and wondered if this would be beneficial to myself and my wife. I've ridden bikes for a number of years but not Spyder's. My wife is getting her license and will be a first time rider if that matters.

Definitely beneficial!!! The short version is: Less body roll / Front end stays flatter in turns = Faster in Faster out... 😎

If you could only pick one mod for any spyder, this would be the one. But like any of the mods, all are optional. You can live with the F3 as is but it handles much better with the upgraded swaybar.

I had Them on Both my Spyders BUT have Not Yet put one on the F3 because it corners Very Well stock.
If your going to hit corners Very Hard it will certainly help But you might just want to try them for 4-500 miles First and then you will know for SURE!

and[/U]Con's

I don't have an upgraded sway bar on my F3, but I have experience with sway bars in general. It has been my experience that a stiffer sway bar works great to a point and then lets loose very quickly. A softer bar has a region where you get some feedback that things are about to go bad. I don't know if this is the case for the Spyder but I'd be interested in finding out. I am very happy with the feedback I get with my stock bar.

Husband got hold of an RT bar, which is bigger dia than stock F3, and has put it on, with new bajaron links (there are other posts about this option). Hoping for a good ride this arvo to test it out. FYI brilliant add-on to my ST, just wish I'd added it to the earlier RS I had...

We have OEM RT take off sway bar on both our F3's. If you like riding the twisties you will be very happy with the improved performance.

I have the OEM 2014 RT sway bar I would donate to any "needy" F3 pilot, for the price of postage.
I was originally surprised to hear that "it" would be an upgrade for an F3, but glad I saved it in any case.
Everyone here has helped me SO MUCH, that I am happy to pay back a little. Just PM me and we'll work it out. Ron
