• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Sway Bar and Shocks Installed

I recently received my RT sway bar from Evoluzione. The install was pretty simple. The key is putting the Spyder up on the ramps. I now have the Elka shocks and the Evoluzione sway bar and I love it. BIG improvement in handling and steering in my opinion. A highly recommended mod if you want to tighten up the tracking.

Either looks are deceiving, or the diameter appears to be very similar. What diffenernces do there seem to be?

The Evoluzione Bar is slightly larger and is a stiffer material. It is 35% stiffer according to Ken. I did not test the sway bar alone with the stock shocks simply because I already had the Elka's installed and I am going to run both. There are some other Spyders out there who have the Sway bay installed with stock shocks, I am not sure who they are.

I will also be installing an Elka shock on the rear very soon, I am working with Elka on that project.

Matt, is the sway bar available for the RT now? I only see the bar for the RS on Evoluzione's web site.

Ken should be adding it to his site soon now. He is a couple weeks away from having them in production.

There will be a review of this sway bar without the shocks.

It was installed this week and the ryder will be doing a ryde test while out with the WCS of Nor Cal ryde group this weekend. :2thumbs:

It was easy to install but there needs to be a minor adjustment in the bar length to fit without spreading the bar 1/4". :chat:

I will get the ryder to post the review here also.:shemademe_smilie:

Thanks, Matt!

Elka Shocks and ISCI Footpegs have arrived

I just got my Kewlmetal (Elka) Shocks in and the ISCI Highway Pegs came in a couple of days ago. I plan on installing them on the weekend.
Kewlmetal was just fine in dealing with me. And, as usual, Billy Joe and ISCI were top-notch.:2thumbs:

Elka Shocks, Installed

I couldn't wait until the weekend. I went ahead and installed my new Elka shocks this evening.:2thumbs: It took about an hour by the time I dug up my tools and got the tupperware off (You need to remove the top-side covers to get to the top of the shock mount. I just pulled the (3)pop-pins and one toryx screw. I did not have to remove the panel completely, just enough so I could pull it out of the way.) You also need a floor jack so you can lift the frame and release the tension on the shock mounts.
I have not adjusted the preload or rebound damping and am just going with the Elka settings. Tweeking may be necessary later.

Someone wanted to purchase my OEM shocks but I forgot who it was.:dontknow:

I have NO complaints against Kewlmetal.

ISCI Pegs

I got my ISCI Highway pegs mounted today.:D It took a little while but worth the effort. I'll need to tweek the positioning a little but they are pretty cool. Thanks to Billy Joe and Bob, as usual.:2thumbs: And even greater kudos to the engineering staff at ISCI. They're doing one heck of a job.:2thumbs: The only thing I am missing now is an Evoluzione Sway Bar. I am not sure I need it though (I do have Elka Shocks).
