Well, I've got to change my vote, the slip joint gaskets in the exhaust are gone. I wonder how many have gone out with stock mufflers as opposed to Hindles or other aftermarket exhausts?

Just to warn others so they keep their right hand ready to tap the E-stop when the bike goes into auto pilot. Jumps from 1st to 3rd, and floors the gas with a message scroll of mission. I applied the brake, and it was over powering the brakes I had the sense to trip the E-stop in those second before hitting the back of a car. It locked itself in 3rd gear I called a buddy, and we pushed it two miles home. As you all know your warranty does not cover towing, and I was not restarting it to have anyone get killed.
Just a warning.:hun:
Whoa! Sure glad you are all right! I have been preaching about using the kill switch to shut the bike off every time, just so folks are used to it for situations like these. Takes a clear head to react as quickly as you did, though...well done! Let us know what the dealer finds out for a cause. Maybe it will be related to my throttle sticking condition, and give my poor tech a clue to a solution. I don't want to start a fire, but I do prefer the instant control of a clutch in situations like this. Ne reflection on other people's choices. BTW, the BRP BEST extended warranty does cover towing.Just to warn others so they keep their right hand ready to tap the E-stop when the bike goes into auto pilot.
