• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Surprise oil change

Changed oil on the 1330 today, bought a six qt. pan and proceeded to dump oil. Low and behold it filled the pan to within a 1/4" from the top. Measured in containers and it came out six qt.
The first change was done by a reputable dealer which tells me the dip stick is wrong. I put five qts. in and measured , on the dipstick hot it barely touched the add oil ball on the stick, cold only a 1/2" on the stick. I used a 2 two foot long plastic tie wrap measured about 3/4" longer then the stock stick in order to have some reference to how much is in the machine. With the recommended five qts. and a hundred mile ride all seems right .............

5 qts. is what most of us run. There was a thread some time back that talked about overfilling causing reduction in horsepower. Something about oil bathing the crankshaft reducing power. May be someone else has it bookmarked.
