• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Suggestions For BRP Concerning Future Models

Would like to see

Would like to see on the RT.

1. Move rear tire valve to other side.
2. Make rear trunk smaller so seat can be shifted more to the rear, for use long leg riders.
3. Better park brake system. If the cable comes loose the bake can roll away, as mine did.
4. Longer lasting rear tire.
5. Low Jack!

A MILEAGE COMPUTOR READOUT

1. Garage door opener integration
2. Lights activated in all compartments when you open
3. Rear mud flap
4. Upgraded sound system
5. BRING BACK THE FRUNK SWITCH
6. Additional, higher output lighting
7. True passenger arm rests
8. Turn signals in mirrors
9. Blind spot mirrors integrated into stock mirrors
10. Remote on key to open seat and lock and unlock compartments electronically
11. Electronic actuated exhaust baffle like the Captains call for boats to enable opening up the exhaust (Fantasy)

That should do it for me.

MANY NEW BIKES HAVE AN INTEGRATED MILEAGE COMPUTER. VERY HANDY. NO NEED TO DO THE MATH EVERY TIME YOU FILL UP ON A TIP. THEY ALSO GIVE YOU MPG WHILE YOUR RIDING.

From A GL1800 Triker's Perspective

As my wife and I get older, we're finding that our bodies are NOT like wine. They don't get better with age. I've been sitting on the fence about an '14 RTS. I read/hear about many positive features. The "churn" from GW 2-wheelers seems greater than from trike to trike. The most often stated reason to switch trikes is; "I just got tired of lugging the Gold Wing trike around".
Here is what is holding me back and are the basis for my suggestions for future RT series models:
1. Increase on board storage. 5.5 cu. ft. is considered small by today's offerings. Shouldn't be "forced" to by a trailer
2. Completely bluetooth integration with CB and SAT radio included in the RTS/RTL
3. Much better quality tires to give 25-30,000 miles of service
4. More safety oriented lighting, especially on the front fenders and rear trunk area
5. Increase the COMPETENTENCY and NUMBER of dealers across the US.
6. Increase the reliability of the other areas of the Spyder besides the motor. i.e.. belt, and electronics.
I'm sure that I'm echoing some of what other Spyder riders have said. I'm not sure what influence "the collective" has with BRP. I'm anxiously waiting to see what is unveiled in 2 weeks

O.K., maybe I'm just talking out of my hat but here is my list:

1) How about a HUD "heads up display" (like those used in old fighter A/C) so that you don't have to take your eyes off of the road to look at the dash. It would contain speed (MPH), RPM and gear. The technology has been around for decades and with the advances in electronics, it can be both small and reliable.
2) Louder horn.
3) Fix the turn switch and indicator lights in the mirrors.
4) Install a door for gassing up.
5) Longer seat.
6) Put in a cup holder.
7) Integrated blind spot mirrors in the rear view mirrors.
8) Turn/running lights on fender sides and rear and saddle bags.
9) Brake light on trunk lid.

I didn't mention the Frunk switch 'cause my 2012 has one.
