• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

STS SM5 Floorboard Options

I am a new Spyder owner. Just bought a 2014 STS with manual transmission. Anyone know of an after market floor board that I could install? The dealer told me I couldn't install them because of the clutch. I find it hard to believe there is no other option.

Hi iSpyderVA,

I tried doing exactly what you want to do. I bought some used floorboards from a STS Se5 and brand new floating rubber pads for the boards from my dealer. I only ended up bolting on the shifting side to try. It bolted right on in place of the peg and the shifter adjusts with a turnbuckle to the right height for the board. My problem was I had a snowmobile accident 20 years ago and I can't lift my foot to do up shifts because my foot no longer bends up well enough. I gave up after that.

If your interested I would sell them for exactly what I have into them. I paid $40 each for the floorboards (their $127 each from BRP) and $138 for the 2 new rubber floating pads from my dealer. Total=$218.
I think the brake side should bolt on too, but I didn't try.

Here's a couple of pictures.
