• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Strange notice from UPS

I just got a notice from UPS about a package being delayed due to a Government regulatory agency hold in Plattsburgh, NY. The shipper is listed as BRP/Transcontinental. The origin is shown as Lachine, QC, Canada. I can't for the life of me recall ordering anything from BRP and the UPS notification is legit. Anyone know if BRP is sending out some sort of goodie to Spyder owners? Anyone else gotten this notice? Sure has me wondering! :dontknow:

A second notice says it's been released. I guess I'll know when it gets here!

UPS

Did you ask how BIG the box was ..... A new Limited Edition RT ....:yes::yes::yes::yes: IF THEY ARE JUST GIVING THEM AWAY ...I Want that box ..:roflblack::roflblack::roflblack::roflblack:.........Mike :bbq:

If its not a new Spyder as Blueknight suggested--it may have been a phishing scam to get personal information. The second notice may negate that though.

Let us know what transpires and arrives.

Very interesting and wonder what it is.

Your situation happens to me when I order something from China that takes 9yrs on average to get though it is cheap. After 24hrs I usually forget so I get presents all year long.

Valid point. I thought the same thing so just to be sure I checked a second time. The link of the tracking number goes to ups.com, not some oddball variant often used in phishing emails. Same thing when I copy the # into the ups.com web page. The email header shows all the email paths to be ups.com, also not any variant. The only logical conclusion is it's legit.

BTW, for those who may not be familiar with it when you get a suspicious looking email select the option to open the header. There you will see the paths the email went through to get to you. If some of them look odd, be really suspicious. But that's not a fool proof method either if the sender is superbly skilled at spoofing or disguising email routing.

From what I get out of my dealer I wanted something drop shipped from BRP I was told BRP only ships to dealers they have to reship

NEVER click on any link in a UPS/FDEX/DSL ect emails, actually any email. If it sounds legit, just go to the site in your browser and login. ALL legit emails from a company that you do biz with, will have your name, not customer or variation of your email address. They know who you are.

BTW, here is some info on the Equifax crap and suggestions to do NOW, I deal with theses people and trust their info.

UPS Email

I got the same 2 notification regarding a UPS package from BRP.
Said it was released and will arrive on the 21st.

It's legit. I received the same email. It's not a phishing scam..... all the links are legit and you can copy and paste the tracking number into UPS and see the status.

Mine is supposed to arrive Thursday. Package says it's 2 lbs. and the item description says "World Ease".

No idea what BRP is sending. Maybe it's something for those who attended the homecoming?

Considering the timing of these packages.... with the unveiling this week.... I'm sure that is no coincidence.....

You can all relax now! They are sending out a miniature version of the Kenda tire with the new (May 2015) compound.

I hope it fits the portable stand for my table saw. One of the Kenda tires on it keeps going flat!

But there's no pic of the tread area?? :dontknow: How can we tell if it's worn out in the centre of the tread without a pic?!?

Do you ever get speed wobbles on that saw stand? At what speed do they kick in?? Could be poorly balanced, or maybe it's tread cupping!?! :joke:

I would guess that those of you who received the email will also have the "Black". Helicopters circle about the time of the delivery. And for those of you on the dark side, this was probably ordered by someone, I won't so who very high up in our government!

You may want to run across the border, quickly!
