• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Strange clicking sound

I'm getting a clicking sound from the left front area when I swerve the bike back and forth. I can cause it with bike at rest by pulling back and forth sideways on the handle bars. I just put a new sway bar on but I'm sure that everything was tightened properly. I'll raise the front enough on boards to get to the front area but this has me stumped. Gotta have someone rock it back and forth while I check underneath. Hummm!!
BTW the sound is very much like the sound of the transmission shifting which at first I though it was. But I can make it happen with engine off and bike at rest.

Sounds exactly like the sound I am getting on my spyder. In fact I had the dealer check it out yesterday because I though it might be an A arm bushing gone bad and they told me it was coming from the right hand side bushing to the Baja Ron Sway Bar.

I will be emailing Harvey this afternoon to see if I can get a replacement bushing.

I can not think of any condition that would cause that bushing to click...unless the bolt worked it's way out...and that is a nyloc nut. Can't work on it today. I'll try to figure it out tomorrow.

It is the new Spherical Bearing Al Bajaron Links. Put the old OEM links back on the left side and clunking stopped on that side. I can hear the right side starting to clunk also. I can feel play in both ends of the link. Is this typical of the BajaRon links? If so...I don't want them. Play is a bad thing in spherical rod ends...It can only get worse. I used them for years building racing cars. I always bought the "aircraft" quality bearings. They cost twice as much but no play.

If you are experiencing play or loose link bearings I will be happy to replace them. This has not been a problem so I would like to get the replaced parts returned so we can determine what the issue is.

This does not pose any danger but of course we want to make it right.

I will pull the other link off and mail them to you. If you find them to be within your specs then I will just use the OEM...which are tight.

If they are making noise, they are not in spec. I appreciate the quick ship. I'm anxious to find out what the problem is.
