• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Storage compartment like RT on RS

Anyone thought of putting a compartment on their RS like the one of the RT just forward of the seat? Seems like a nice mod for us RS riders.

Well..!!

if your talking about the glovebox type...no room...but there are items out there like around the windshield etc. Tank bags work well and you can remove them when not needed. Trunks and side bags are also out there...

BRP used to have a tank bag that fit on the RS/GS models. I had one on each of those :ani29:'s. It was a well built bag and even had a map pocket.

You are still in luck. Page 82 of the 2014 catalog. $109.99. Seems about the same price I paid in 2009.

yeah, you would probably have to fabricate something to go on top of the area in front of the seat then have it color matched...but definitely an ideal worth looking into.

Thought about it

I was thinking about using the original tailpiece cover to be the lid, but there is very little room between the y. Panel and the frame backbone. You would need to fabricate a box to sink into the y panel and rest on the frame. Not impossible.

that tank bag does not fit the 2014 spyder RT limited according to the fitment chart on Amazon

osm

Check the fitment info on the Nelson Rigg website. I just bought a seat bag that Amazon said would not fit but the NR site said it would. Needless to say, it fits fine.

I use this: http://www.amazon.com/Nelson-Rigg-C...qid=1419974329&sr=8-1&keywords=Canam+tank+bag

It holds quite a lot. I carry knife, wet gear( wet pants for my wife & I), maps, gloves, hand cleaner, windshield cleaner & rags, and compass. It has a map window on the top and it keeps everything dry in the rain.

I am sure the tank bag will work just fine, but it would be nice to see something custom fitted to your Spyder. I love to see the work done by those of you who have the money and time to think "outside the box". Good luck!

 It's probably just me...

...But that isn't very elegant...

If somebody could cut-out the OEM bodywork, and add enough flanges and hardware to the Tupperware; couldn't a useable space be created within the existing bodywork?

Of course

see post 6:roflblack:

They make great looking body parts. If you would install all of their parts it would not look like a Spyder.
