If you are DUI and kill someone it is instantly upgraded to a Felony!
Same should hold true for texting while driving.

I agree
in my opinion this young lady committed murder
The victims two children and her husband will never see her again
And the criminal only gets 90 days

Everyone should be writing/emailing their state legislators, demanding that texting while driving be elevated to the same offense as drunken driving, and that penalties should meet or exceed DWI penalties. Deaths caused by texting while driving should be treated as vehicular manslaughter.

A woman was recently convicted of killing a mother of two in an accident caused by her texting . . . and she got a lousy 90 days in jail . . . she should have been charged with vehicular manslaughter.

As long as folks only get a slap on the wrist if caught, they will keep doing it . . . and their kids will grow up, doing it, because mom and dad always did . . .

There was a story on our local news last week where a guy on a motorcycle yelled at a driver that was texting. So the driver just ran into him and drove off. The news reporter was interviewing the cyclist from his hospital bed.


AT&T has some pretty good videos on T&D. I just wish they got a lot more air time.

Seen this a while ago. Love it. If I got a commission for every person who I convicted of the offense I'd like to sign up for the job. That and not stopping at stop signs I could retire early.

I just want a horn that sounds like a wreck is in progress... Screeching tires, banging metal sounds, horns, etc. Imagine someone hearing that while they are texting and thinking they are about to be hit. Just a little audio wake-up call. :yikes:

Busting texting drivers - How I do it safely explained!

I get lots of question including people bashing on me thinking I am using my phone to bust texting drivers!
Hard to believe when my videos clearly show my hands on the handlebars but OK... Not sure how they think I am holding a phone :roflblack:

Then people saying I am looking into windows and not watching the road. NOT TRUE...

So I did a Vblog on my way into work explaining how the camera works and how I do this safely.
