Stock airbox needs to go.

I am the guy that purchased Randy's Spyder. It now lives in Vermont. The ram scoops he built for it are really nice. I believe he tried one of the alternative air boxes and took it off because it was too loud. I can't describe how he did it other then he got some parts from e-bay and built it up from there. I can't take pics of the rams right now as the bike is in the shop waiting for another DPS unit two weeks and counting. While it is in the shop I am having them put on the 2011 RT shocks. Randy, bless you for getting the extended warranty.

Yes it does. I think it was on there when Randy bought it. I get a lot of comments on it. My grandsons were really impressed with it and also the green LED access lights in the grills and underneath. They are 5 and 7

yep, thats my old phantom. lots of led's, hid's i put on and other stuff. sorry to hear about the dps issue.

The box is actually a plastic electrical box 16$ from a hardware store. I made one so I wouldn't have to spend a ridiculous 200+$ on the kewl metal (although it is a nice piece but not worth the money seeing what the parts are). I think my whole setup was around $50-$60. Also, It's quiet so I don't get any intake noise. I use communicators with the wife and listen to music. The 2 Bro's duals are enough. I can forward anyone who's interested a step by step of how I did it with pics and links via private message.

Ok after all this talk about changing air boxes Who has and how do you like it? The stock box is a pain in the axx. Just looking to see who is the happiest with what they got? I was also looking at the kewlmetal filter.

Without my Skull Candy earbuds in (Music or NOT) I feel the Spyder is too noisy already. Only time I take my ear buds out is from the Gas station to Home (1/2 Mile) to listen good to the engine for any sounds! You only have to change your plugs every 12-15,000 miles depending on how you drive it. Its your ears???
