• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

STILL RIDING ??

:congrats: We actually saw three other motorcycles on the road today...
And got lots of "Thumbs-Up" and waves, from the folks in cages!

I will take my mile and put it on my Spyder, when my spyder comes out of hibernation :roflblack:. ( In April hurry up Spring get here) Deanna

I took my Spyder out of hibernation yesterday for about 50 miles and today over 100 miles. Today started around 30 and the day ended around 56. Some really nice riding. Will put Spyder back to bed tomorrow.;)

If you take your spyder out of hibernation again put some miles on your spyder for me. :roflblack::roflblack: We have had unusual weather up here in Vermont,, it has been warm, rain, But we got a snow storm on Thanksgiving Week-end, and got 18 inches of heavy, wet snow. Deanna

Beautiful Day 24°

It was sunny and a warm 24° today so I took Salsa to work. At lunchtime I went to Cycle Gear for motorcycle stuff then Chipotle for food. Folks stop to have a lookey-loo at the Spyder. The sofritas and fixings were delicious!

Traditionally, in these parts, motorcycle riders do a New "Years Day Ride" just to kick off the new year on a positive note.

I didn't see any posts of Spyder Ryders doing this. It's a pretty big thing in the Motorcycle community. We rode 125 miles today and didn't see as many bikes as I have in the past.
What's going on, it was a sunny day with temps in the 50's.

2DAY

I RODE TODAY.... 1 JAN. 2015

AS I TRY TO DO EVERY JANUARY 1....

WE HAD 100%
SUNSHINE, & 60 DEGREES....
I did a short, 76 mile ride to go buy my wife the news paper... i left the house in Easley, SC, and headed north on Rt. 25 in
Greenville to the North Carolina boarder... made a turn at Exit 1, and headed south on Gap Creek Rd, through the back roads - aka: horse country... the crystal clear air filled my lungs with a drug only God can produce... it clears the heart and soul and of course, the brain, of all of lifes negatives... i stopped twice to view the horses in the pastures, and watch the water flow gently in the Saluda River (should of taken my fishing rod with me).... my SPYD3R & i enjoyed our ride....
WHAT A WONDERFUL LIFE...

I did about 50 miles today, mostly with a GWRRA Club, Chapter F from Fairborn, Ohio. they have doing longer then I have with the, mine started 2007. New Years day or close to it as possible. We started one year at 15. Local TV station, channel 2 even had us on the evening news with a positive comment about starting the new year out right.
Have fun and be safe

Rode again today around the metro area 90 miles.
Stopped at Hyatt's gun shop, they advertise as the largest in America??? It is comparable to a kid in a candy store for a gun enthusiast.
Also stopped at a couple cycle gear stores. Ended the ride with a few miles of cool rain. The Spider's sure do handle wet roads easily.

Friday Night 1-2-15 Date Night

Took the Spyder out for a quick run to the hardware store, followed by dinner about 20 miles away.

Heading towards dinner we stopped and got a few photos of some still remaining Xmas lights outside a gated community.

After dinner, under a bright moon and clear skies, we rode along the Atlantic Ocean on A1A towards Palm Beach.

Made the stop at our typical Ice Cream Club shop. Nice Goldwing was there adorned with a lot of red LEDs, pretty sweet overall. Ice cream shop was packed with people, majority were tourists or snowbirds. We joked at how busy it was in early January, but in the middle of summer there is a fraction of the people.

Still heading North on A1A, we hit the main road to head west, back towards home.

Great night, fun ride with the wife.

STILL RIDING

You have PMS! (Parked Motorcycle Syndrome)[/QUOTE] LOVE THIS SAYING, so true tho, and am still so jealous of the other SPYDER'S living the dream and still riding. Like a few other riders asked, put on a mile or 2 for us. Thank's and HAPPY NEW YEAR.
