• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

STILL RIDING ??

Riding in Eustis florida
After 60 years of captivity to Indiana Winter

The sun was finally shining, mid 40s, getting up to the 50s, time to get the bikes out and hot up the engines. We decided to go to a biker bar on Hempstead Highway. It has bar in front and food behind. Every time we had rode past, it was crowded with bikes.

So we bundle up (anything in the 40s is cold in Texas) and head out down the highway. We get to the bar, Jimbo's Roadhouse in the front and Back Door Pizza And More behind it. Where's the bikes? Only trucks around the place? Hmmm...

We discovered amazing Italian/New York food. Oh my word, we need to go back to try more of the menu. Yummm.

Afterwards, I walked up front to the empty bar and asked a biker looking guy where everyone was. "They might show up later when it warms up a bit"

Guess we're not bikers? :dontknow:

Unusual January day in Indiana

It was almost 50 here today so we had to get out and ride a while. Stopped by the store for some food for our CMA president's family. He lost two sons due to an icy road in a 4 wheeler one vehicle accident early Saturday morning. They were both in their 20's. So it was a happy, sad ride today. Logged almost 50 miles.

Went on a 50 mile Spyder Blast today. The roadside thermometer at Sheetz read 28deg F.

A short rip on the Willow Street Pike produced a wind chill factor of 3deg F. (legally shouldn't have been lower than 8deg F) Couldn't help myself.

C'mon Ground Hog Day. Means winter will be half gone and spring is on the way!

Made it to 45 degrees in central Ohio yesterday. I installed my X-Grip RAM mount, crampbuster, and passenger armrests. When I was done I had the choice between washing the Spyder or riding the Spyder. The wife said let's go riding.
I guess the Spyder will stay dirty for a few more weeks. :sour:

Leaving in the morning for a 6 day ride to CA. Meeting friends from Phoenix, Oceanside, and Mexico at a little town named Julian. Visiting and RON at Borrego Springs, Oceanside , San Diego, El Centro.

Temps to be in high 60's to low 70's.

Arizona and Southern Cal are wonderful this time of year.

Did both here, washed the RT then rode it to get it dirty again.
It needed the bath, last ride ended in a good rain storm and it went through some mud puddles getting home.

great day...great ride....LG!

Just back from a 70 mile run two up with a stop for lunch. North from Zephyrhills back roads through San Antonio FL. Found some great roads shared by many other motorcycle enthusiasts! Two lane roads in good shape with lots of curves and even hills in mostly flat Florida. Temp was a bit cool at 70 degrees but we bared it.;)

Cheers

Have to - no longer own a cage! Raining - freezing - snow flurries - I'm out in it! Work nights 10:45pm-6:45am mon-fri.

I did see a spYder today while driving through Sequim it was about 45 degrees and sprinkling good for that person.[/QUOTE]

I used to ride my Harley in that kind of weather when younger but either got smarter or turned into a Woose.

Here we go again. Another 6 maybe more months of hibernation. Anybody still ridying out there ?? Be nice, I am sad.:(

We had one of those days of unseasonable warmer weather in Omaha. It was 55 degrees yesterday and I took my 2014 RT Limited for a ride around town. I've got one of the CanAm jackets with the zip-in liner and it is really, really warm to ride on days like yesterday. Probably only rode for less than 20 miles but on January 24th??????????? Happy and safe ryding to all of you that can.

I'm still riding here in IA

Got 10 days in January so far of riding. Coldest day so far was 10 degrees. Not sure what the temp was with wind chill.
I had to say no to spyder when it was 0 with a -15 wind chill.
I only have to ride 25 miles each way to work, so, not too bad.

The spyder keeps talking to me in the morning, and tells me to ride her. How can you say no.
