• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

maybe im expecting too much but we put 50 miles on to get supper last night
and im still leaning about as much with the br bar as with my old one. came back and
checked the box to see if i put the old one back on. the first curve gave it away.
have to wait till laser align. 22# in frt tires and 28 rear. it definitely does not corner
flatter. so far with all that has gone sideways [no pun] with me and this machine,
i guess im the 1 in a thousand. i call it " irvies law"[murphy's]. sorry for the rant.
just thought it would be better . will go over every nut and bolt today.----:banghead:.

i really found the big change after i added the sway bar and then added the elka shocks. the shocks make a world of a difference
 
I didn't notice as much difference cornering with my anti-sway bar as others seem to have experienced. Where I felt the most difference was when being passed by big truck on the highway - much less buffeting. The main thing that helped with the cornering was experience. It took me about 1000 miles to really start feeling comfortable on the curves. Even now with about 6k on my RT, I'm still getting better. If you have a motorcycle background - in my case, about 60 years on 2-wheelers - the 3-wheeled roadster takes some getting used to. The lean on a motorcycle is to the inside of the curve and on the roadster it's to the outside. At first, my neurology was screaming that something is wrong - and that led to me over-controlling the machine. Now I truly enjoy the gravitational and centrifugal forces my Spyder provides. I hope that becomes your experience too.
 
Doc Humpreys or I used Baja Rons Shock adjusters.. The combo between the Sway bar and shock adjusters made a huge difference..
 
Depends....

The amount of effect felt when adding the sway bar will depend on how long you drove without it and how agressive a ryder you are. Many, from being on this site, have installed it well before they got used to the spyder and how it handled. I have found that doing all the modes at once will not let you know/see what each one does for you. I made three major changes to the front end with about 500 miles or more between each change and felt a big differnce on each.... good suggestions above to make yours handle more to your liking....:thumbup:
 
had over 110 miles w/stock bar. wife is always on back.definitely not
aggressive. well it rides nice otherwise. bout enough money thrown at it
for a while.:)

any pics or videos of shock adjusters. also like to see a pic of the
spring compressors. might be able to use mine.

Try lowering your front tire pressure to 18 and see if that helps, for me anything over 20 and it starts to bounce.

i know there was a thread somewhere a while back before i got mine.
just havent looked for it. have to do that.
 
I wouldn't go throwing a bunch of money at it til ya ride it more and try different riding styles. You'll still have to lean a bit. Don't expect to just sit there and have the Spyder stay flat going around corners....there's things like momentum, centrifigal (can't spell) force, g-force....etc that still play a factor in the corners. Put a little lean into it for a few hundred miles and you'll notice a difference. Then, it'll start to feel natural.
