• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Sticking parking brake release fixed.

I had the dealer adjust my parking brake while it was in to have the riser installed. Problem with the brake was that it was very stubborn to release. It's fine now.

The only reason I'm even mentioning is because the invoice describes the adjustment as an "Update on brake pedal". I'm not sure if it's a common problem, but it may be something BRP is aware of and has advised the dealers about.

YMMV,
Rod.

This was a campaign, as BRP calls them, for some of the earlier Spyders. We had the same problem, and the replaced parts took good care of it, too. Looks like there are still a few Spyders out there that have not had the parking brake fix done.

Mine is doing the same thing, very hard to release (sometimes many attempts) and sticks a lot :gaah:

I am going to have the dealer adjust mine also. Service is coming up, having everything done. :thumbup:

My invoice for my 5000km service says that they replaced the parking brake plate. The mechanic said that it was a recommended upgrade. It made a great difference.:thumbup:

Cheers;

Pogo.
