• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Steering Recall Update

I just had a 3,000 mi service done today. The service manager told me they did the power steering update. Could this be true or is he full of it?

I had my first service done today, Mosites Motorsports in Irwin, I thought $195 was too much. Anyway, the dealership did have the patch and installed it during my appointment. They also replaced a sensor for shifting on my SE5. Parts don't seem to be expensive, but the labor rate is out of control. My next sevice will be done on my lift in my garage.

$195? You got off cheap. I was charged $280. Motorcycle mechanics labor rate average $80 per hour, which the kid actually turning the wrenches probably makes minimum to my guess $15. The dealer pays for FICA, if they're doing things above board, overhead for the shop, and liability insurance and the rest is profit.

Of course you can take it to Juan who has no cards of any color, no insurance, no bond, etc and he would charge you $10 per hour. Or you can put it on your lift and get rid of your own oil...legally...for nothing.

BTW, I think BRP parts are expensive.
