Well, I got the update on Wednesday. I noticed a change right away in the way the steering responded. It seems to be much smoother in twisty situations. There is an improvement in the turn in (initiation of turn) and also when you release pressure as you begin to exit the turn. There used to be a bit of a jerk at these points that is now gone. It is now much easier to do slalom type of turns. Before the update, it was difficult to make a smooth transition from right to left to right etc. It seemed as if the power steering would have a momentary surge just as you began to change direction. This is now gone and makes it a much smoother transition from right to left to right. I feel like I can get the bike to "carve" a turn now and get it to keep carving from one turn to the next without little jerks at the end of each turn. Overall I am VERY happy with the steering part of the recall update.
As for the rest .... time will tell the total tale, but for now I only notice it running slightly lean at steady throttle around 3500 to 4000 rpm. If it stays this way or improves I will be happy.
