• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Steering DPS issues - stiffens up at speed! Help?!

I am hoping someone can give me some direction on troubleshooting steering issues with my 2010 RT. At idle or slow speeds steering works fine. As soon as you go over 5-10 mph the steering stiffens up so much you have to use all your force to turn it. It is especially difficult in an emergency steering situation where time is of the essence.

DPS stands for Dynamic Power Steering. Meaning that as speed increases, power steering assist decreases. I've been told that at 45 mph, the assist goes to zero. I am wondering if your issue might be computer based. In other words, the input algorithm is somehow being accelerated in your situation. Are you throwing any codes?

Also, make sure you check your battery connections. Grab the cables at the battery, if you can move either, clean and retighten the connections. Had the same happen on my 2013 with the same symptoms. Also, helps to put star washers on bolts

:agree: .... the DPS has a very large " power draw ", and many here report after checking Battery connections - problem solved. .... but if your Batt. is failing it needs to be re-placed ..... good luck .... Mike
