• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Static on the AM radio

I seem to have a problem with static on my AM side of the stereo. It's almost like a crackling sound & static. I continue to get it on different AM stations. Is anyone else having this problem. I understand static on AM when there is a storm coming, but there was no storm. I don't even know where the radio is to check for any loose wires. The FM is perfect.

I had the same problem w my 2011 Spyder RT. It took the dealer several calls to BRP, and the problem was the radio was improperly grounded. After they properly grounded the radio, 95% of the static went away. There will still be problems w power lines.

Thank you for the response. I was thinking that a ground problem would be the cause. I will check it out the next time I go to the dealer.
