• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Starting Hot

I have a RTS SE5 2013 4200 miles and wondering if anyone else had this problem. After riding a few miles and warmed up turning it off and setting anywhere from a few mins to 15 or 20 mins upon starting backup and shift into gear either 1st or reverse and applying throttle you hear a chattering sound along with jerky movement. You can reverse direction and will do the something. If you apply more throttle problem goes away. It shifts as it should and the oil has been at the proper level. This only happens when started hot and never warm or cold. Any ideas would be appreciated.

My "13" RT-S is just the opposite. I experience the chatter/vibration when I first start it and pull out of the garage to have it warm up. That's when mine occurs. After it has warmed up a bit, it does not exhibit this.

Chris,
I have noticed that also, just the engine running ruff before it is warmed up. That seems normal. This sounds more like it is not engage in gear or detonation, knocking from the engine. I have noticed this the past 1,000 miles.

my 2013 SE5 clattered and shook and made terrible noise at take off.....the 13's had some bad...warped clutch plates....BRP replaced my clutch system and all is great

In response to questions I am using BRP's XPS Summer grade synthetic blend. I am having the bike serviced this week. When I called them to make the appointment they indicated it could be belt tension. I hope that is what the problem is. I have not heard about clutch plate problems on the 13's. But that is just what mine does at take off, clattered, shook and made terrible noise. Seems to only happen when bike is hot, stopped and turned off for more than 5 mins and started backup. When you continue on your ride after hot startup and have to stop at stoplights there are no problems on take off. Thanks for the responses.

So you have an appointment...:2thumbs:
Please be sure to explain the circumstances under which this happens to your dealer. That way; they can witness it first-hand.
Good Luck; please let us know what they find! :D
