There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Star Brite

Whats the difference between this and "Sea Foam"? been using SF for years cleans and stabilizes the fuel

Sea Foam is one of the best fuel/injector/engine cleaners ever made but has gotten pretty pricey now. and then there is Marvel Mystery Oil which has a long legacy with lots of true stories....

but, I dont think any of these are going to make much difference in Spyder fuel mileage.

Don't hate me because I ride two-wheeled bikes.... it's only because I haven't had a chance to try a Spyder yet

I'm Bill, the VP of Marketing at Star brite, the manufacturer of Star Tron.
We're pleased to see so many of you have been using our product.

I'd be happy to answer any questions you may have on our product, without trying to convince you it's the stuff you need.

Good Lord, no hate here lol. Many of us came from two wheels, still have two wheels and even a few went back to two wheels. Just do not ask us what oil we use and all will be good :roflblack:.

:welcome:

P.S. Whatever you do.... DO NOT test ryde a Spyder. They bite and you will own one sooner than later... Just stare at them from a distance :ohyea::yes::bowdown::firstplace:

Bill, I met Marc Emmi his card says VP of Sales at the dealer show in Indy two years ago, is he still there at Star Brite?

He's the one that told me the "trick" on how to save some money and use the diesel additive instead.

What do you mean diesel additive instead?

:dontknow::hun::dontknow::hun: :popcorn::popcorn::popcorn::popcorn::popcorn: Now I'm Curious Diesel additive ??

This is right from Marc at Star Brite's mouth.....

The diesel and the gas additives are the same, except the diesel additive is much more concentrated.

The diesel additive can be mixed 1 oz to 32 gallons of gas which makes it almost half as expensive as the gas additive is to use.

From what I've read it's the same stuff-- but you don't have to use as much of the diesel version if you're using it in gas... can't remember the exact factor off the top of my head.

The stuff I bought at TSC for a test was just the gas version.

You use 1 oz of the diesel additive to 32 gallons of gas.

With the diesel only being about $3 more a bottle that does 512 gallons of gas, it's almost half as expensive as the other 16 oz Boat/Car version they sell at West Marine.

Must be the diesel version is a higher concentrate. So 1/4 oz of the diesel version should cover a 6.x gallon spyder tank as compared to 1 oz per tank of the gas version.

Will try some of both and see.

Found & bought two bottles of the gas additive - have an old Stabl bottle that I cleaned out to use with this, as the bottle has an easy to use 1oz measuring device built in. Tossed the bottle in the trunk to have at fill-up time.

Getting rid of the Ethanol issues can't hurt, even if the milage stays the same...

Definately writing down the name of this stuff. Thanks so much for the advice. I've had a few problems that were mentioned and I hope this gets rid of them.

ok, got a question. Kentucky is one of the states that doesn't require labeling of the E10 fuels, so you never know if its really E10 or not. Is there anything wrong with adding this stuff to regular non-E10 Gas?

BTW: on a different note 1 gal sizes on ebay for $80 right now.

Great Price on the gallon size, and no it won't hurt to run it in regular gas.

Figures - it's not available in the Northwet !! :gaah:

I'll wager the Greenies out here made it illegal to use…. They'll want us to install windmills on our bikes soon.

Yes but on still days you'd have to eat loads of beans so that you could muster farts to propell yourself. Then they'll blame you for the hole in the ozone. Just order you some online. :)

Huge price per gallon difference from gas to diesel. Went from 11 cents per gallon on the car stuff to just 2 cents per gallon on the diesel stuff when its bought in gallon jar. Nice tip there Evan.:2thumbs:
