There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Stalling on high rpm up shifts?

And the BRP answer is!!!!!!!

Just got call from the mechanic working on the bike, said he took it out and got to experience the stall at around 6500 rpm so he called BRP and they wanted to know if I was "Drag Racing It, they said I was over revving engine in first gear that I should shift around 5000 to 5600 rpm :cus:
Here is the kicker though, the same rep told the mechanic that the rev limiter on 2013 has been raised quite a bit so its over revving on 2012 and down but not on 2013 with same engine :banghead::banghead:
O well i am going to pick bike up tomorrow and just learn to shift at lower rpm I guess or try running it in trailer mode all the time at least they aren't charging me for it this time.

hmmm, that doesn't sound right, today I shifted from 1st to 2nd several times above 6 K ( with this thread in mind ) with no problem, you said this also happened to you in post #4 when shifting from 2nd to 3rd. What did BRP say about that. All I have ever heard about these Rotax engines, is that they are high revving and don't let it lag- thats worse.

Oh and in regards to my little shifting issue, it went away after I put in 1 1/4 quarts of oil

That's a lot of horse manure! There is no reason on earth for that to happen normally, as long as you are accelerating in a straight line with no wheel spin. I have run all of ours up to redline many times getting into traffic, with no stalling or hesitation. You can hit the rev limiter before the tach indicates the RPM is that high, due to the lag, however. That should not show a 3000 rpm lag, though. I'd have your tech double check the steering sensor calibfration. If the steering angle sensor was off just a bit, and you got any wheelspin at all, Miss Nanny would kick in. In fact, above 30 mph, it would kick in with any sign of wheel spin anyway. If what you are seeing happens when you are turning, especially turning hard, all bets are off. The nanny will kick in pretty quickly at full throttle if you lift a front wheel, the yaw sensor shows a high lateral force, or the rear wheel spins.

I agree with Scotty except the horse manure is piled high and steamy. I have often shifted at 9000 rpm and bumped into the rev limiter once.

Thanks for all the reply's and helpful suggestions,:2thumbs: I will be picking it up tomorrow and will have another talk with the mechanic, but I am hoping that what ever adjustments he has done while checking it out has fixed it, from my experience sometimes they fix stuff but don't want to admit there was a problem to fix  at any rate I will have my baby back, I like to froze to death this morning on the old Yamy with no windshield and no heated grips roflmao

Mine acted similar and the dealer said it was a gear position sensor not telling the computer the shift was completed. :dontknow:

Does Doc ever shift below 6.5K :dontknow:. I've run over 6.5K many times getting on the interstate. Once you get over 6K it is easy to go well over 7K in a hart beat.
