• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Sta-bil...add more if riding occasionally?

One option of where to purchase Yamalube Fuel Med RX in the small bottles. Amazon price was a lot more. The $1.95 per small bottle is about average cost. I buy from the local shop, I get a full box of 12 or 18 small bottles, I forget how many. I stuff several in the frunk and use as needed at almost every fill up.

Fuel component corrosion is my greatest concern, so this is a small cost to prevent it.

Off to the Yamaha shop today.

Others may disagree, but I consider that a good decision. You might call first to ensure they have it in stock.

Also, be certain to get Fuel Med RX, not Engine Med RX.

FWIW, the linked video discussed Fuel Conditioner, that product was renamed Fuel Med RX. Already did that research.

So you assumed that it was CAUSED by the Stabil.
Maybe the Stabil just failed to PREVENT it.

As I clearly said that I believed that adding too much Stabil caused the gel because the results were repeatable.
Also clearly stated is that I like Stabil.

But perhaps, as you suggest , that adding Stabil failed to prevent the condition then it was a waste of money to add it.

No maybe not.
Without knowing ALL of the conditions present when the "failure" occurred you can not draw that conclusion.

Note that I did NOT actually say I believed excess Stabil could not have caused that to happen.
It is entirely possible that it could.
That is why they have instructions with a proper dose listed.

Earlier in the thread I noted that a couple of my engines ran rough in the spring after I added a bit more than the recommended amount.......and stopped doing that when fresh gas was added. I think I was using 50% over the recommendation. I don't do that anymore.
