• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

ST sport fender

Has anyone tried the BRP sport rear fender for the ST? My dealer was talking to me about it, but I'm wondering if it is worth it. Any comments will be appreciated thanks.

I put one on my partners RSS and the fender works fine, but the cover on the belt guard side is a little flimsy and moves a lot
when riding, I am hoping all of the movement doesnt cause it to fail eventually.

depends why

I have the sports fender on my ST - because the original fender & license plate location fouled the towbar/hitch. I like the looks, and nobody who follows me has said anything at all about rocks/mud etc, including my husband on his bike. We added an LED running light near the lic plate location, and I think it improves the looks. For a while BRP offered it as a 'fix' for the fender-strut-breakage issue on the RS models.

Thank you! That's the second time you have helped me out. I'm still waiting for delivery on my seat, looking forward to it more each day.

Don't the lateral covers provided prevent that from happening?

Choices choices..!!

I like the oem fender and wouldn't change it but the sport fender is nice if you like that style. Has worked well for many I would reinforce the mounting...jmo.

mounting

haha well we "reinforced" the mounting by using some slightly longer screw-thingos that we had "leftover" from the previous RS - don't tell the guy who bought our old RS ... :sour:

Would any St (or RS) riders mount a fender that mounts to the swing arm starting from the bearing pivot side that extends the fender over the tire towards the back?

Something like this...

Sounds & looks like HD bobber. Adds that custom look alright but lacks proper function. Know needs reflectors on either side, & plate light. As far as belt & rocks go Lamont has good belt guard fix. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1440744466.499887.jpg my stock STL is fine, no complaints of throwing rocks or rooster tails (nasty muddy back) I had with my two wheeler. Having the trike (with GPS) in my group I tend to lead fyi.
