• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

ST No Oil Loss

My 2013 STL does not use any oil - none. My first three Spyders used oil in various amounts. This was to be expected. The STL appears to have a much different engine - tighter - I would guess.

Why has BRP not told us about this? Hey BRP, this is a good thing!

My 2012 RT has had no noticeable oil loss in 8000 miles. The oil has been changed at about 600 miles and 5000 miles. With 3000 miles on this change, it is still on the full mark. One thing I have not allowed is adding the entire 5 quarts of oil during a change. 4.5 quarts puts it at the full mark and it seems to stay there. My driving tends to be 95 % two lane highway at 55 to 65 MPH. I am sure that makes a difference also.

your right my frist time i changed oil i put the 5 qts in and had to suck some out so now i put 4 qts in and add a little at a time till full never use the last qt all the way.then i have about a half of a qt to add if i need to at oill checks.:thumbup:and i never need to add much.:chat:

Great..!!

Nice to not use oil. Still have to check regularly, too many reasons to use oil. Mine uses very little. :ohyea:

I don't mind the engine using a little oil. At least, I know the internals are getting lubrication.

I still have not had to add any oil to my 2012 RT ltd after 30000 miles so not all the Spyders burn excess oil
