• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Squealing noises

I have a loud squeal during acceleration through 3rd gear. I've read it's a belt issue. I've adjusted it and maybe a little better but now I should check belt tension. I added the the extra belt pulley tensioner smooth spyder I believe. I hear I need to add some belt grease on the rear sprocket... Any other ideas or fixes out there?

Loud squealing?

Those noises can come from elsewhere.....Listen closely next time, if it was not followed by the faint sound of swear words or what seems like female laughter or what appears to be loud thuds coming from the back of your helmet...It might be a problem with the machine... ;-)

Curious. ....

Only through 3rd gear..? it would seem you only get it under a load as 4th and 5th (on a RT2012) are more in the crusing mode. I think your on the right track. that pea size dolop of grease should clear things up and the belt should not ryde against the sproket edge. if the sound is from the rear the only other things to check would be the brakes and wheel bearings...:dontknow:
