• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

:spyder2: El Spyder Roho :spyder2: finally came home last night with the modifications semi-complete. I GOT TO TAKE MY FIRST RIDE TODAY!!!!!

Being a paraplegic, I had to make some modifications to my :spyder2: so I would be able to ride it. Had a hydraulic hand brake and footboards installed. The braces have not been dressed and will need to be powder coated, but it is together enough for me to go take my driver's test this next week.

I drove it from Fayetteville to Bradford Marine in Springdale (Arkansas) this morning to meet some of the other riders in this area. IT WAS FANTASTIC!!!

Next step will be to dress up the braces and powder coat and then build my wheelchair rack.

Thanks everyone for all your help during this process. You've been tremendous!

Here are some pics - first group of pics are of the footboards and my CalSci 23.5" windshield.

More pics - R6 Master cylinder and slave push cylinder for the hydraulic brake system. Hydraulic brake push cylinder has to be modified to match the master cylinder. The master is 16mm while the slave is 22mm. Have to pump brake to get a full handle right now.

Congratulations on the first ryde!!! It is so fantastic that the Spyder affords people with mobility issues the opportunity to ride!

I hope you enjoy the heck out if it. Here's to many safe miles with the rubber side down!!

:congrats:

Congratulations! I know you have been looking forward to that first ride for a long time. Well done! may you enjoy many, many more.
