Spyders in the Smokies Rally, who's going?

For the new folks here I've had a BBQ at my place the last two years during the Spyders in the Smokies rally. This rally is in my backyard and it was a good opportunity get together with some of my new found friends on the board and feed them a meal.

Last year it picked up steam and we wound up feeding over 150 folks and had over 100 Spyders in my front yard. There were door prizes and lots of good fellowship. We even had a jump the ditch with the Spyder contest but we only had one taker on that one.

As the event gets a little closer I'll put a post up so we can figure out how much food to order. There is no cost to you and we just put out a can for donations if you want to help out. Hope to see you all again this year. :2thumbs:

I just made my reservations at Red Roof Inn. I had to call them to verify what rooms they had left. Online said only 1. They told me they only had 4 rooms left and I got one of those. Looks like I almost waited too late to book, but I wasn't sure I was going to be able to make this year. Now I really pumped!

The wife and I will be there just got through doing our reservations, I was told that the 44.95 rooms at Red Roof Inn are sold out :dontknow: and I got the last balcony room 49.95 hyea:, we are staying the whole week, you can mark us down for the Lamont BBQ:2thumbs:

Myself and deanarm (hubby) will be there. Supposed to go last year but Dean's Spyder went into the shop right before and we couldn't pack the two of us and all of s**t on mine. No time to get a trailer. Looking forward to finally meeting all y'all this year and Lamont's BBQ.

Mike and I will be leaving on Saturday the 19th... taking 2 days to get there. We'll be swinging by Indy to pick up Tina and anyone else who wants to ryde together... probably make it to just before or just after Louisville and crash... then the rest of the ryde on Sunday.

You're more than welcome to ryde with us-- and our schedules are somewhat flexible......

Then we'll be heading back on the following Saturday/Sunday.....

We prefer a relaxed ryde taking 2 days.....:thumbup:

Looks like I finally get to meet other Spyder Ryders :clap:. The rally will be held in Gatlinburg, TN.
If you live in Maryland or Virginia and would like to ride there in a group, please PM me I'll try to set up a useful meet point that will cover, food, fuel, and rest in the area of Virginia Beach, VA.

I am booked for the rally since April. Good timing on the post though as I have to book the Red Roof Inn. Gonna get on that right away. Hope to see a lot of us there - it was GREAT last year

I'll be there late Monday - Sunday @ the Red Roof. Looks like I will be leaving early Monday morning from Tupelo going through Birmingham, up to Chattanooga, through Knoxville and over to Gatlinburg if anyone is interested in riding together on the way to Gatlinburg.
