• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Spyderryder question of the week

Checked out the question of the week on spyder ryder:

"What is the weight capacity of the sports rack?"

Ans: The weight of the sports rack is 15 lbs.

:roflblack::roflblack: Only on our official Spyder forum.

The warning label inside of the sport rack puts the maximum load at 15 lbs evenly distributed. The way they worded the answer makes it look like the sport rack weight is 15 lbs. Weigh to go BRP

No, no, it really is. It's made of Tungsten...:joke:

Now does anyone understand why I was trying to get Traveling Spyder NOT to install his 40+ pound gasoline keg on the sport rack?

Nahh...what's the worst that could happen??!

Ever seen gun cam of a WWII fighter drop one of those fuel tanks off the plane? Napom baby !!! Wooo Hooo:joke:

But in all seriousness, I think the gas keg should be fine. It's a pretty solid piece of aluminum bolted into the main frame of the bike .... the lable may say 15 LBs but I think it will hold a lot more than that. Only issue might be weight distribution since Spider got a pretty long "A" arm already. That might be the real reason why there is a suggested 15# limit.
