• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

go to the first few posts on this thread and you will see a spot to click on for the registraion. yes there are fees associated with some of the rides and yes there is a registration fee, but that includes barbeque, tee shirt, rides etc. we will be having a farkle bingo etc. come on and join the fun!!!

We are considering Spyderquest. I have NOT read all 130 something post but is there a fee associated with the meet itself? Not including the already mentioned park entry, meals and lodging. And, how do we register if we do plan to go. It'll be about 300 smyles to get there and I don't think we can make the whole weekend but we are thinking about it...
The opening day on Thursday includes entry into LGRV park all day, the BBQ, farkle bingo, and a shirt if you are registered.

We will be there

Please count us in. Prin and spouse. We will be there for all events. Just made reservations for room. I will send in form and check tomorrow for all events, etc. Thanks for all your work and effort.

Ted and Carol.

Not too long ago....... the only event in the Northeast put on by another website was cancelled. After much thought and some encouragement from Lamont, a few of us deceided to take the bull by the horns and create a Northeast event of our own. This is how Spyderquest was born.

This will be the thread to find all the information you will need to know about this event filled Spyder gathering. We will provide as many details as we can as we nail them down in hopes to show you that this event should not be missed by anyone. We hope to make this Spyderquest a little different from the rest to provide change to others that attend multiple events each year.

To be completly honest we do not have the manpower, experience or sponsorship (as of today), but if you look at our itinerary you should be quite pleased with what's in store for you. I personally promise to work as hard as possible on this, you have my word (as well as my fellow NY Spyder Riding family).

Itinerary may/will be adjusted as needed, so check back often.

Opening day ceremony- Lake George RV Park- http://www.lakegeorgervpark.com/

After your ride into Lake George from your home, we will be gathering at the best RV park I have ever had the pleasure of going to. This RV park will also be the host RV Campground for Spyderquest (sorry, no tent sites). We have rented the Bingo pavilion which holds hundreds and will provide cover if mother nature decides to throw us a curve ball. You are invited to arrive early and use all the parks amenities all day long which includes an indoor heated pool, so dont forget your trunks and towel.

Casino, Rides and Dinner Cruise Day

This closing day is jam packed with things to do. Eat breakfest, fill up with fuel and we will ride to the Saratoga Casino and Raceway by 10 am to try our luck for a couple of hours. This place has over 1500 slots, video roulette, poker and craps.

At 12pm we will gather to have a buffet lunch right in the casino (Garden Buffet) before we head out on a short Sacandaga lake ride located at the base of the Adirondacks. Price for lunch is $12.95 per person paid at the Casino (all you can eat and drink).

If you do not wish to go to the Casino, there will be a separate longer ride to take a tour of historic Fort Ticonderoga. This fort has a lot of history including four attacks during the Revolutionary War. This ride is lead by Rnet and Cleg. Price for admission to the Fort will be on the registration form.

After our ride we saved the best event for last..................
At 530 pm we will start boarding Lake George's biggest ship to take over a two hour dinner cruise on beautiful Lake George. Dinner will be buffet style with main courses being fish, chicken, pasta and a meat carving station among many sides. Tickets can be purchased for $43.50 and will need to be included on your registration form. Parking directly across from the ship is $10.00....... So, if you want to find another place to park in the village, by all means do.

Do we both need to pay registration, or is it per spyder?

I hope this does not send a quote also. I am new to this and apologize if it does.

each person must pay registration. it includes use of the lake george rv park for the entire day on thursday where we will be having the barbeque :thumbup:in the afternoon (which is included in the reg) also where you meet and great all the other spyderlovers attending. it also includes the farkle bingo :thumbup:which will be held thursday at the rv park, and the free tee shirts for all registrants! it also helps defer some of the major expenses incurred putting this all together. believe me when i say it is not a money making venture at all!!:yikes:

Final question

Thanks for the prompt reply. One final question. For the two hour dinner cruise, do we sent money to you or make our own arrangements with the boat company. I believe I read make our own arrangements and then later saw send money to you. Please clarify. Again, we appreciate all your work. I want to send my form and money in asap. So, again, thanks,

Thanks for the Question.......... at first it was going to be a pay as you go event, but came to the conclusion to pay up front to make things a little smoother for everyone that attends so you are not held up in long lines at each place we go. Sorry for the confusion.........

Bob Denman joins organizing commitee

Thanks Bob for helping out, greatly appreciated, Ron. The insurance deal is superb as well.
