• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Spyderpops is now live on the web! www.SPYDERPOPS.COM Check out our new website to see all the information on the “Missing Air Dam” and convenient shopping cart. You will be able to watch a video of what happens when it is installed, watch the temp gauge! The installation instructions are also on the website so you can determine if you can do the install yourself.
Keep coming back to the website as we are just about ready to put a lot more “Missing Stuff” on there.
Thanks to everyone that has worked with us during our startup time as the ordering process was very awkward and trying at times.

:2thumbs: installed mine yesterday, today took a 6 hr. highway ride and the :spyder2: never went above 3 bars.

Great product, Pops! Installed mine on Tues. Left Weds and have put on 1500 miles across CA, NV, UT and CO -- haven't seen over 3 bars yet!!!

Harvey,

Posted elsewhere but will again.

Rode out to dealer, about 70 miles last week. 3-4 bars at 7am...when it was quite cool out.

On the way home at 4pm, it was a lot warmer and I didn't even see 4 bars at all...so, I can tell you it has an effect...

It was a windy day but the wind was the same at both times...

Installed mine and my wife's as well. Great product, simple install, effective cooling assistance.

70 - 89 F Spyder runs at 3 bars
90 - 97 F Spyder runs at 4 bars

It hasn't gotten over 100 here yet so I have not been able to test at that temp. The only time it rises above those levels is when I am stopped, and then it doesn't take long for it to drop back down. Also, drafting behind other vehicles, especially big rigs, somewhat defeats the purpose of this and you can expect the gauge to climb a bar or so. ;)

Thanks again Harvey!

Yeah...it's a neat mod and is inexpensive...funny thing is that it might really help the bike last longer and run better...cool beans!

Two questions:
Is it possible that the foam will melt since radiator gets very hot?
What kind of adhesive do you use?
thanx

This is a commercial grade high density foam, I do not believe there is any chance of it melting due to radiator heat. If I am not mistaken, when the gauge is at 5 bars the engine temp is 195 F.

The adhesive that comes with the kit is 3M Black Super Weatherstrip Adhesive. Very sticky, and it takes a while to wash it off your fingers if you happen to be messy like I was. ;)
