• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

It appears the Security Certificate has expired.

I have sent a message in about this, and it shouldn't be too long before it's renewed. In the meantime, it's your call if you wish to continue using the Forum while it's like this, and any personal ID/unique identifiers/banking details/saved passwords etc are at slightly more risk than usual - not as much risk as if you posted them on the public pages for the World to see, but definitely at slightly more risk than usual. Your call.

Edit: It is in the process of being addressed, and a renewed Security Certificate will be applied 'soon'...

Until the certificate is renewed, they are going to make using this site difficult. I have to go through the disclaimer process every time I try to change pages.

Not sure how to reach the current powers that be, so I'm posting it this way. The site is coming up as a security risk because the security certificate has expired. Hopefully this will be seen by the right person, and the post deleted for me.

As always, thanks for keeping the site going!

I got the same warning, but I trusted the site and continued.
Hopefully it will be in order again soon!
Have a great weekend everyone.

The “powers that be” have already responded in post 4, saying the certificate is in the process of being renewed and will be applied soon, MRH.;)

It seems that there's more going on than just an expired security license, at least for me here.

After clicking past the warnings, it seems that many of the buttons on the site do not work properly. I'll click on Reply, and it does nothing. If I refresh the screen, it works.

Thanks, Albec! I received the same information and checked the certificate...I figured it would be renewed by today. No warning today.

The issue with the security certificate is now officially fixed.

I was totally locked out for the last 24 hours.

The site is now functioning as it should.

Yes, but my post was actually a new thread that was then moved here from a separate thread on the same issue - it would have been best deleted. I wasn't aware of this thread or I wouldn't have bothered with it.

Ahhhhhhh. It all becomes clear, MRH

I got this and did not proceed.

Warning: Potential Security Risk Ahead
Firefox detected an issue and did not continue to www.spyderlovers.com.
The website is either misconfigured or your computer clock is set to the wrong time.

It’s likely the website’s certificate is expired, which prevents Firefox from connecting securely.

If you visit this site, attackers could try to steal information like your passwords, emails, or credit card details.
What can you do about it?

The issue is most likely with the website, and there is nothing you can do to resolve it.
You can notify the website’s administrator about the problem.

This problem persisted for about a day, but as noted back in post #15, it has now been resolved (the November 2024 occurrence anyway! ;) ) and the Forum Security Certificate has been renewed and applied, so you should be able to log in safely.

If it's still November 2024 and you are still having this problem &/or getting the message shown by a few posters in this thread, then you might need to log out of the Forum; clear your cookies/history; and maybe even re-start your device before logging back onto the Forum again.
