• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Suddenly spyderlovers.com has become a High Risk compromised site according to my security software. What's up with that? nojoke

Excessive logging on to Spyderlovers.com has been known to lead to:
Reduced physical activity due to long periods in front of the computer
Spendatures above what most would consider normal for mods
Neglecting loved ones and pets during your log-in time
Increased ordering of food from delivery restaraunts

BYB, gotta go order some lights, kick the dog and get my pizza from the delivery guy

I have seen this on a couple of times also, but with just an individual link, not the site itself. Perhaps someone brings on a virus without knowing about it, I just do not click on those links.

It could be a link in a post or something like that. I have no control of that but I do have control of the server and that is clean. Sometimes it's the security software itself that it the problem.

It is a high risk,
I found that when I'm looking at Spyderlovers and the Grand kids are over the house [5 days a week] they get very testy.
They want me to click on Sponge Bob or the Annoying Orange.
Might have to get another computer.:ohyea:

Ads with affiliate links and associated cookies sometimes sets off security monitors. They simply track where the referral comes from. You should not block these as it will not give SL credit- we need to support this form every way possible!

RE: Does anyone wear leather (related link)

I went to GlossyNews.com just to see what was there after reading about the "leather protest". My security lit up like a NORAD radar screen on high alert. Needless to say, I wasn't allowed in.

Everyone should have a firewall and virus checker...

Anyone that does not have security software can get top quality firewalls at www.Komando.com. This software is free for home users. Just log on and type in the search field Zonealarm or Comodo depending where you have a 32 bit or 64 bit operating system. The two above are firewalls. I have six systems and all except one use them. I have been using these packages for the past 12 years and no failures to date.

For virus checkers there is AVG and a couple of others that don't come to mind at 4 am. Excellent systems.

All these system are easy to load and are simple to operate. You might also consider once a month doing an online virus check via www.trendmicro.com/housecall.

These programs will help prevent you from getting a deadly virus... ever hear of one called "Evil Empire"... it crashed many harddrives back in the 80's. Originated in Canada. Ken krb1945

Sure! That's why I'm here everyday! :ohyea:

Risks involved...

1- Wanting to buy a Spyder (if you don't already have one)
2- Wanting to buy a bunch of great mods
3- Wanting to ride your Spyder harder
4- Which leads to wanting to buy more mods
5- Wanting to be a HOOLIGAN! :yikes:
6- Wanting to go to SpyderFest in Cuba and hang with the Cowtown crowd

Which just starts the whole risk list over again!
