• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Good Morning all:

I have a 2012 RT SE5 with the A/C package. My problem is with the Snap, Crackle and Pop in the radio trying to listen to a local or any station. My dealership had it for 2 1/2 days and could not find any issue. I hook up my XM radio through the MP3 port and the Rice Krispie syndrome goes away. I am thinking it could be the antenna, which has been replaced because it fell off, or the block the antenna connects to or the cable from the antenna to the radio.

Anyhow, any info you may be able to suggest sure would be appreciated. My CB radio and goodies will be installed in a few weeks.

Thanks,
Ed

That's how mine sounds if I try to pick up anything in the AM bands... But FM is fairly decent. It sounds as if the antenna has become disconnected from the receiver; or you're set to "AM". (Which is pretty doubtful... :roflblack:)

I thought it was just mine!

I thought it was just mine! if I plug into my Ipod its ok, but try and tune into the radio and the sound is bad!....... Well its good to know its not just me! Im taking it back!

Good Ryding

Similar gripe here. AM reception is pretty bad. FM is better--but still dubious. Any rides out of town, and various mountain ranges block the signals. Very rarely do I use the radio these days. We have them on both :spyder2:,s, and I would rather have paid about $1000 less per :ani29: based on the use I get.

We use our communicators and just talk bike to bike. Did have Cardo 2's, and the FM on them was also dubious at best. The new Sena's seem to work well--but have not installed them on the helmets or tried them in the "field" yet.

I have not had any trouble with mine on the 2011 RT Limited. I also have a shorty antenna installed.
