Remembering the good ole days. Seems life was much simpler then.:doorag:
When I stopped by this little event in Cuba MO on my way home from a 9,000 mile trip on a preproduction Spyder RT I had no idea how this would change my life forever. Made some good friends that week who are still good friends to this day. Some who are no longer with us and some who through life events have changed from who they were back then, including me. Some for the better and some for the worst. All part of the cycle of life I suppose.
SpyderFest U.S. will always be a great event, not because of location, not because of the riding, not because of the vendors, not because of anything else other than the people who take that time out of their busy life to make the trip to the event and all the folks like the staff that put in the work to make it happen when they would really rather be hanging out with you all. Their sacrifice to make this the best Spyder event to date does not go unnoticed. Thank you all for the planning and work you all do (riders and workers) to pull this off. You have my respect.
My hopes and prayers are that all the travelers will have a safe trip here and back. There will be few break downs and the ones that do happen will be able to get back on the road quickly and safely. The staff will be able to meet all the needs of the riders. The riders will have patience with the staff as they try and take care of 1000+ riders. The vendors will run out of product and the riders will get everything they came for. And that all who attend will have a good time and make new friends and life long memories. Oh and good weather for all
