• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

So I'm gonna get a little personal but this is me and the wife's first spyderfest we've saved some money but we're curious what we might look to spend on things besides hotel. We're unfamiliar with the area so thought I'd gauge it a bit

Do you mean food wise? It seems pretty inexpensive to me. Now you can spend all of your money at Vendor Village if you desire.

Meals, Items for your Spyder, Fuel, Memorabilia, and any other movies or shows that you decide to attend.

Once you have paid your registration fee all of the Spyder events and BBQ etc are free.

they give you some chips to gamble with (slot machine or poker) you can use the winnings to bid on items at the auction.

Another Newbie Question

How do the installs work if you buy something from a vendor? Do they give you a time to come back, or do you wait while they do it on the spot? I would like a laser alignment and have some lights installed, but I don't want to miss the opportunity to ride. Is the installation of a product included in the price, or do you pay that separately?

:congrats: on your first SpyderFest!

Don't worry: your money will have NO trouble finding new places to stay... :D
The important thing is to have fun, and create lots of great memories!

Branson is only a half hour away. They have numerous shows, exhibits, outlet mall, theme park, etc.

Yep! I was going to suggest Branson as either a before or after add on. It's the Las Vegas of country music, plus you can even find the oldies but moldies. Lawrence Welk anyone? :roflblack:

Stay away from the music stores also. A fiddle found its way home with me. Turned out to be the only instrument that I could not play good. Never got past the skreek, scraw sound. :roflblack:

You can buy the item and get in line to have it installed or setup a time for install, most items are priced uninstalled and an install prices is added if you need them installed.

But if you bring enough wrenches; we can have a "Tool-Time" party in the hotel parking lot! :D
(Spent MANY hours in Lake George underneath my GoldWing!! nojoke)

The "Mother Store" of Bass Pro Shop is in Springfield. It is huge. Take lots of money. Wonderful, free, NRA museum up stairs.
