• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

After hearing so much hoopla, I finally tried Buc-ee's! Never Again!

If you knew how they treat truck drivers, you wouldn't set foot in one!
If a truck driver parks across the street and walks towards one, they meet him in the lot and very rudely tell him that he isn't welcome there!
Imagine if that was your brother, sister, mother, you get it!
If in fact that's the truth, and I am NOT calling you a liar, I would have a hard time stepping foot in one again!!! WTH

Buc-ee's has employees that watch out for this sort of thing? Keeping an eye on who's parking across the street?

What purpose do you reckon they would have for this? Just to refuse service to a trucker? Isn't a trucker's money just as good as anyone else's?

I have been guilty of being drawn into the Buccee mystique, and I have been to several across the country. They have the best restrooms around and good brisket sandwiches. I believe that the basic thought process for those who leave their car parked after filling is that, well gee, there are sooo many pumps that it will not matter if I block this one. Well, the trouble is that everyone else there thinks the same thing. Note, I fill up and park in the designated spaces to go inside.

I've been in exactly 2 Buc-cee's. Which, in my humble opinion, is 3 too many. Both times, I got brisket sandwiches, which tasted amazing. And went right through me :( Their restrooms are amazing though, and that's the only good thing I can say about them...
I'm an introvert, hate crowds, and a (former) truck driver. Three strikes for Buc-cee's.

I am surprised at the hate Buc-ee's is getting here. Don't get me wrong. It's a free country, and I support everyone's right to have an opinion. But I like it there. Took my wife on Tuesday for her first Buc-ee's visit at midnight (a great time to go) and she was impressed. Took me 40 minutes to pry her out. We all got bar-b-q brisket sandwiches and they were excellent. We walked out with $100.00 worth of food that my wife just had to have. Even so, 40 minutes for only $100.00 is pretty good, as these things go.

Hate is such a strong emotion. I don't hate Buc-ee's at all, hate no. Dislike immensely, yes!

I reserve hate for people and things that really deserve it, like today's politicians.

I hate them for the way they treat truck drivers! I have noted that above!

Never been inside of a Buc-ees, but have been in Wally's. Same concept, about the size of a small shopping Mall, with everything you can imagine.
My first visit was with my sister while traveling. She loves to shop, and we got separated. Luckily we each had our phones with us or we still may have been there 'til this day... Was a nice visit, but I have never been back since.

Buc-ee's is a different style of necessary Food and Gas Stop. I definitely enjoyed my visit.
Now if I was in a real hurry, I probably would not stop.

But hey, I am retired. So what the rush?
Different strokes for different folks.

Slow down and enjoy your Day.

Slow down and enjoy my day? In line at Buc-ee's?

What's the rush? I don't know about you or your time but my time, even though I too am retired, is WAY more valuable to me than to have to waste it waiting on rude people in line for gas!

Why can't these people take a clue from the 'think of your fellow man for a moment' rule of treating others as you want to be treated?

I, for one, would NEVER make someone else wait for me under these circumstances. Never.

But, as I said before, perhaps I was raised differently and perhaps I think of others besides myself when making discissions such as this.

Different Strokes and different types of things. This is what makes Life easier to enjoy.

Have yourself a Blessed Day my friend.
