Spyderfest folks from Michigan

Cindi & I are going to Spyderfest, leaving either on the 22nd or 23rd with an overnight stay somewhere along the way. We plan on connecting with Route 66 somewhere in Illinois and riding it thru Missouri until we have to exit and head towards Springfield. We're staying at the Comfort Inn. We were thinking about doing the ride in one day but we're on vacation and don't want to beat ourselves up so it's gonna be 2 days both ways and we want to take the time to enjoy the sites along the way on Rt 66. If you're interested in riding with us let me know and we'll coordinate hook up times at different locations...

Hi Larry,
We will be going but with our Spyder on a trailer. We will be leaving Monday the 22nd getting to Ozark/Springfield early evening. I am going to make an appointment at PITBULL Power Sports to have them install some ELKAs. We we will see you there.

Route 66 will take you right through Springfield. However, I think it's really ambitious to try to do it from Chicago to there in one day. You have to remember, it goes through every small town in the midwest:yikes:. Of course, that is a big part of the charm of the route but don't plan on making very good time.
