• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Spyderfest 2014

Sorry Bob....I'm a bit dense! We have a National lottery and a Euro-Lottery but the odds of
winning are similar to those of getting struck by lightning in a subway! Are you suggesting that it's
going to be an expensive l'il trip? The air fare alone is likely to come out at around $1000!

@Prairiespyder:
Thanks for that Patti, Yes I can see it's around 700 miles from Springfield to Mosheim!
May be treat it like two separate trips and have separate rental cars etc. and fly between the two places
via local airports. Something to look into. Thanks again!

No offense intended. I just know that some Europeans don't realize the great distances between places in the USA.

2014 Spyderfest

Was not able to make 2012 or 13 Spyderfest, but certainly enjoyed popping in unexpectedly back in 2011 with exactly 600 miles on my 2 day old RTS. Got excellent first service and oil change and met a lot of great people:yes:. Maybe I can get there in 2014.

Time for the West Coast such as Reno, Vegas, Salt Lake City, Phoenix or Spokane/ Couer D'Alene. I especially like the Spokane area close to home great riding routes and can even get to Canada's beautiful Selkirk Valley :2thumbs:. I'm sure that a place is in the works. Just wanted to put the west coast and especially the Inland Northwest into the conversation if possible.

I think that would be great to rally out there. But Spyderfest is a Mogang thing so it will always be in Missouri.

Ain't going to happen...BUT...

Hi Showie...Spyderfest will ALWAYS be in the Springfield, MO area seeing as how Pitbull Powersports owner/family/crew and MoGang are the creators and organizers of this world class event. BUT Showie if you are serious about wanting out here...get ahold of me and we can brainstorm how to create an event in our awesome Pacific Northwest. I promise you if you and I do the WORK they will come...(oh yea it would have to be other than Spyderfest time of year..for me SF is my :firstplace: must go to event...)
Have a great ryde today the sun shines on us with clear skies and peace filled hours....ahhhh nothing like ryding.

YOu could also check with Randy and Ron (Arntufun, and rnet), since they're putting together SpyderQuest in Lake George, NY for September...

Since I'm fairly new to the Spyder world, bought my Spyder RTS back in late March of this year. Didn't know anything about Spyderfest, so I'm definetly going to try to make it in 2014. Sounds like a fun time.

Any word on dates yet for this? Maybe I'll have my wife kick Len next month for the dates.

The safety meetings at the Best Western were some of the best that I have ever attended! At least, the parts that I can remember! I'm planning to be at Spyderfest again in 2014, this time with plenty of raingear.

Went to our 1st SpyderFest

Has anyone here been to one?

I've been reviewing previous Syderfests online and it looks like fun.

It's in the rainy season, so I expect we will get wet a time or two during the ride down there.

We had a wonderful time in spite of the 2 days of rain. Made some great friends and had fun riding and visiting with them. Was almost 6400 miles for us with our touring through 10 states to and from SF. Husband says too far to go again...but I'd like to just keep going for months and months. WAS FOUND by Cruz'r Joe in his town on our way and he bought us pie and coffee and treated us royally so when we got to SF, we felt as if we already knew someone a little. Need I mention he has a lovely wife also?:) and I am expecting to hear he has purchased her the Spyder of her choice any day now that she can drive his.
