SpyderAnn01's Big Adventure

As some of my Spyderlover friends know we have had our house for sale all summer. Well as of last Friday it is under contract and we are scheduled to close on 11-11-11 with an additional 10 days before we have to be gone. I feel like we got a pretty good price with all things considered and there are no contingencies and the buyers are only financing 25% so we are pretty confident it will close. Our past moves were for Uncle Sam or private employers and never really our choice of locations so this time we are moving where we want to be and will look for work when we get there.

So for the big adventure we are leaving this Thursday morning to ride to Las Vegas for a house hunting trip. I'll be on my RT with the trailer and Joe will be on his new Honda ST-1300 which he just got last week. We will stop in Rolla, MO, Amarillo, TX and probably Flagstaff, AZ and plan to arrive in Nevada on Sunday. We'll house hunt and fly back on Thursday. We are leaving the bikes at our friends and I will definitely write down my mileage as our friend really likes the RT!

I will certainly miss my Michigan riding friends but I hope to see all of them at Spyderfest and I hope to make many new Spyder friends in Nevada. :2excited:

Ann, I know you have been looking to sell the house for a while, so congrats. Wow Las Vegas. That is a big change and good timing, right before the MI winter. I am so glad I got to know you and ride with you. Have a safe trip and good luck on the "hunt".

Wow!!! Look at you!! don't you love it when a plan comes together. My very best wishes for the both of you and prayers for a safe journey! Have fun, enjoy the ride, and I'll see you at spyderfest!!:2thumbs:

Best of luck and most of all, have fun!

Before you move you know you will have to make a trip to Duluth to Aerostich while yo are still this close to it!!!

Now that you're getting rid of your Spyder there was no reason to stay here any longer. :roflblack:

Joe still wants to work so the nomad life was overruled. I wish we had time to get to Aerostich but that won't happen so you'll just have to bring presents from there when you come to visit us in Las Vegas!

Ulflyer we are downsizing on the house size but we always have room for Spyderlovers. In fact if I hear that any of you come to Vegas and don't look me up I will be mad.

Ann, we are happy for you and Joe. Unfortunately, Michigan loses yet another passionate SpyderLover. We're gonna miss you!

Ann & Joe,
Best regards in all things. What an adventure indeed. Selling - moving - no job - no house = Priceless. Exactly what I plan to do soon, the Lord willing, cause I hate Winter!!!:gaah:

Haven't gotten on the road yet as we had to have our furnace repaired. I thought it would be a good idea to see if it worked before our buyers did their inspection and of course it didn't. $570 later and the repairman is done. It is really foggy here and it looks like we will hit rain for most of the morning today. What else is new! If it ain't raining I probably ain't riding. :yikes:

Please be careful. As the saying goes "better late than sorry".

Ryde safe

"We sold our house in Michigan" is a term not used very often! Congrat! We sold ours in da UP a few years ago and were shocked!

I see your hubby has a ST1300. I (stupidly) sold my 98 ST1100. They are fantastic motorcycles.

Enjoy our new adventure!

Brad da YOOPER in WA.
