• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Spyder rt-s hid

How hard was the installation? Is it plug on play?

I'm thinking going with xenon xtreme kit 4300k 9005 for headlight and h8 4300k for fogs.

thanks

Just crank your front shocks up & down (easier with elkas).
You want light or handling? :joke:

Adjuster like the ones used on the headlights can be purchased. One of my future investments.

Am told the very first spyder's taken around to dealers had the fog adjusters but they dropped them on the production models. $$$ savings for them. Kind of worthless tho if ya can't adjust them. Whiiiiiine! :roflblack:

The ballasts can be stowed behind the headlights and there is a built in pocket just the right size under the two black tupperware triangles (where the diagbostics plug is) to place the fog ballasts.

Do you have to drill the plastic cover(behind the bulb) to pass the ballast wire?

I recall something about that and I do believe they were having a severe problem with moisture fogging inside the lens. I can't say with certainty that the moisture problem was related to the adjusters but in my mind I have the two linked.

Thanks for the heads up on that.

RT HID Install

Does ESI still have Hid kit?

Looking on input from ESI vs XenonDepot.

thanks

Did you find room to attache all four ballast?
If you are going to the Owners Event look me up. I developed a clean install for the headlight that is a true plug and play. Also came up with a better way to mount the ballasts for the fog lights. I need to get the details posted but I am swamped with higher priority project at the moment.
