• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Spyder RT-S Crash

I agree with all of the folks and I am so glad that you were able to get out alive, not to mention with relatively minor injuries. Folks wear your safety equipment! I am guilty of thinking "well the Spyder is pretty stable so I won't fall down" so I ride in the heat with ia light tee shirt and 1/2 helmet etc. lately there have been a rash of accidents in my area where the rider was just sitting on the bike at a light or just in the wrong place at the wrong time. Whatever the cause we all need to safety up clothing wise! Next weekend my wife and I are riding with our club to the mountains, so it's full face helmet, gloves, boots, motorcycle jacket and a St Christophers medal! Ride safe.

Scary story :gaah: :yikes:..................glad to hear that you made it through the ordeal. Prayers for a quite recovery and that you find favor with the insurance company!

WOW!!! Glad to hear your doing ok considering what happened. Seems like a light charge too but guess it depends on the area and what that charge means. They built lots of spyders and thier insurance should be the one paying so thats of little concern. Sounds like a crazy setup. I drive a lot for work and see some stupid stuff as we all do. Just dont get it. Drive people just drive.

WOW it could have been worse.

As all of the others here I wish you a speedy recovery and thank God you are no worse off then you are. If I were you I believe I would say a prayer of thanks for that could have been a much sadder ending.

:yikes: It stinks when we're on the receiving end of somebody else's stupiditity! :gaah:
Glad to hear that you are better than what should have been possible. Our prayers go out to you for a speedy and complete recovery!
As Vrodrjs mentioned: high marks for the gymnastics...

Know it's a repeat but we are so thankful you are basically okay and that it was not worse. Our prayers are for you and the family and that you mend quickly.

The good Lord was watching over you. say a little prayer as we all have for your speedy recovery!

Isn't God's grace amazing! So glad that you ate ok. Like they said, the Spyder can be replaced. That is a tough way to get a 2013!

Wow..............I would suggest a lottery ticket. Luck seems to be on your side right now.

I will just add to all the other good things on here for you.
I used to teach driver training to teen agers and used bad example in class. 3 kids from one family came thru at different times. One of them came bye and said, they had left a newspaper clipping on their dads side table in the living room. It was about a driver running a red light and killing a couple people. They had all said, dad told them it was no big deal to run the first few seconds of a red light, because the other driver could not get going that quick. I asked if he changed ? He said, I do not know, we try hard not to ride with him.
80 + percent of all crashs ( not a accident, call it what it is ) are driver error.

Glad you are ok. I hope that you have a speedy recovery. I am so tired of all of the distracted drivers out there....especially the cell phone talkers and texters! Something needs to be done to stop it!

Wow! Scary stuff. The road rash will likely be more of a pain to deal with than the broken ankle, but considering what could have been you're a lucky guy. Glad you had at least one witness.

Take care, and keep us posted.
