• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Spyder RT-S Crash

Wow! BTDT, tho not head-on. Glad you are mostly OK. Hope he had insurance!

Follow the rehab instructions. Heal well.

Jim

Your story is an amazing testimony to God's endless love and abundant mercies. I thank Him for protecting you & pray for your comfort and complete recovery.

There is truly something to be said for the Spyders safety as a bike.

I know of where you come from on that one. I'm with you. Had I been on a two wheel versus my spyder, I wouldn't be responding to your post. I'm really glad to hear that you will have the PRIVILEGE to rehab your injuries versus the alternative. It really is a privilege.

I wish you a speedy recovery and a successful rehab.

Chris

Two and a half somersaults and a solid plant on its wheels, wow even some gymnasts can't do that! Heal well and keep your spirits up

I'm glad your ok and wish you the very best! I had a similar episode when I wrecked my 2005 Honda VFR Interceptor. The driver in the car never saw me coming up the road and he drove out in front of me at a busy intersection. All I could do was hit the brakes on a sudden reaction and skidded the bike into the front of the car. I was thrown over the bars and in front of the car as I slid for about ten feet. I only suffered from a badly spranged thumb and a few minor bruises on my knee and elbows and no road rash. I was dressed in full protective gear and came out better than most would have in a similar accident. The bike was totaled, but I'm just glad to be alive today. So, I know how lucky you are! My prayers are with you for a quick recovery.

the other guy should get a lifetime suspension, and sit in jail until you are 100%.

Our first instinct is to want this guy punished sure... But we all here also drive cars. Most of us have used phones in the car, consumed food, etc... and all of us are guilty of making mistakes in our own cage from now and then.

Yes I get mad at the texting, and gabbing on phones by the other drivers, but everyone makes mistakes, strays into the other lane... and in most circumstances we catch our mistakes, realize how stupid we were and adjust our driving once again.

I'm not defending the guy but just making sure we aren't total hypocrites. ;)

I'm glad our rider escaped with minimal physical harm.

Ouch:yikes:
Hope you get well soon!

We are all human and so we make mistakes but I hope the guy in the Jeep apologized for being a fool. :banghead:

Heavan forbid but he should be thankful that he did not kill you or himself.
Instead of a ryde there could have been a dumptruck opposite the driver of the Jeep.

Best,
Y

I agree with what's been said in the previous posts. Glad your weren't injured too severly. Best wishes for a complete, speedy recovery. Dale

Wow... what an ordeal!

Glad you're about as good as one could hope for.... all things considered!

As far as the other driver... the charges sound about correct.... reckless driving is NOT a good thing to have on your record.... I believe in Michigan it's 6 points and $500 fine.......

We all need to be aware out there!

I hope that your ok and healing ...

As a Syderlover and also, for all fellow Jeep owners, my thoughts are with you. I just drove Sun and Mon. all around Loudon County, WV, and Fredrick County MD. Please keep us updated, I hope the insurance companies don't make things more painful.
